Hello, my Name is Angelina however I am known as Angel Vegas within the Music Entertainment industry.
Music has always been a significant part of my life, thanks to my mother. Growing up, her music was a constant presence creating a vibrant atmosphere in our home, filling it with joy and warmth. Watching her laugh, dance, and smile radiantly not only shaped my childhood with joyful melodies but also instilled in me a deep passion, appreciation and love for music in a profound way.
When I embarked on my journey in the music entertainment industry,
My primary objective was to celebrate and embrace my Chicana culture. I had known so many talented and ambitious individuals with true aspirations who had never been given the same opportunities as others, This is what fueled my passion for music and enhanced my desire to make a positive impact to provide a platform for their Narratives to be expressed and their voices be heard, this had pushed me to become a promoter, organizing events and connecting artists with audiences, which allowed me to cultivate a strong network in the industry.
When the opportunity to become a promotional model presented itself, my insecurities nearly held me back. However, I found inspiration in my beautiful grandmother, who was a pin-up model in 1962. Her legacy encouraged me to seize the moment, and embracing this opportunity allowed me to further expand my reach, giving me the opportunity to engage with diverse communities and showcase my vibrant personality.
As I transitioned into A&R I have to express how much I loved to help discover and nurture fresh talent. I took pride in identifying artists with potential and supporting their growth.
Navigating in the music and entertainment industry as a woman has often been a challenge. There were times when I felt my contributions were overlooked and my professionalism had not been taken seriously. However, when I transitioned into a role as a radio and television personality, I began to earn the respect I had long sought after, and My opinions started to be valued.
Throughout my career, I've embraced being a strong, vibrant woman in a challenging industry. I believe in empowering others and breaking barriers; I truly hope my journey inspires other women to pursue their dreams with confidence.
